Brighter Days' Young Professionals Board (YPB) brings together emerging leaders from across the Dallas community who are passionate about making an impact. Through volunteerism, fundraising, advocacy, and meaningful networking opportunities, YPB members advance Brighter Days' mission while growing as leaders and expanding their professional relationships.
As a member of YPB, you'll gain hands-on nonprofit leadership experience, connect with like-minded professionals, and help create brighter futures for the children and families we serve. The board also serves as a pipeline for future nonprofit leaders, preparing members for service on governing boards and other community leadership roles.

What to Expect
Term
One-year renewable commitment
Membership Dues
$100 minimum annually — through a personal gift, employer match, or a small fundraiser. We can help you find an approach that works.
Onboarding
Attend onboarding training at date & time designated for Young Professionals Board
Fundraising
The Young Professionals Board will develop and execute one fundraising event a year
Meetings
Quarterly meetings and attend one Brighter Days Executive Board Meeting per year
Networking
Opportunity to network with one another and other Brighter Days stakeholders, including one Happy Hour / Social Event annually
Volunteerism
Opportunity to volunteer at Brighter Days activities throughout the year
