About the children and youth we serve.

Every child who walks into a Brighter Days group, classroom, camp, or shelter program is carrying a story bigger than their years. They come to us from every corner of Dallas, from many backgrounds, and they share one thing in common: they deserve a safe place and a safe person to feel seen, heard, and valued.

Who We Serve

Children and youth from across Dallas, facing life's hardest challenges.

Brighter Days serves children and youth ages 4 to 17 who are navigating adversity in its many forms. Their childhoods are often shaped by circumstances they did not choose, and our role is to walk alongside them with consistency, care, and the tools to imagine more for themselves.

85% are navigating poverty or a lack of basic resources.

Who They Are

A reflection of our community.

Brighter Days serves kids who reflect the rich diversity of Dallas. We meet children where they are, in their schools, neighborhoods, shelters, and community centers.

Where We Meet Them

We meet kids where they are.

Brighter Days delivers programming in more than 100 sites across Dallas County, including elementary, middle, and high schools, recreation and community centers, shelters and supportive housing, motels and transitional living centers, and alternative education programs. Wherever children are facing adversity, we work to be present.

What Kids Gain

What changes when a child has a brighter day.

Brighter Days programs are evidence-based and rigorously evaluated. Every K through 12 student in our Curriculum-Based Support Group (CBSG®) Program completes pre and post surveys, and the results show how kids grow over the course of the program.
