Brighter Days is grateful for the 1,000+ volunteers who give their time and talents each year to support children and youth facing adversity. Whether you serve at camp, support a CBSG® group, help at an event, or share your professional expertise, volunteers play an essential role in helping us create safe, encouraging, and meaningful experiences.
Ways to volunteer
Help at signature events
Support special events such as our carnival like events, Back-to-School Celebration and Saturday with Santa.
Work with the kids
Get training to serve as a CBSG® Program Co-Facilitator and accompany staff on a weekly basis to assist with leading a small support group for 8-10 children or youth. Serve during the summer at our summer camps or mentored events throughout the year.
Meet basic needs
Sort donations, pack care kits, and help us make sure children have essential items and resources.
Office angel
Support our office staff with packets, mailing, and organizing.

To volunteer with Brighter Days, all prospective volunteers must complete an application before serving. Please allow up to 7 business days to process the application.
Adult volunteering
For adults ages 18+:
A criminal background check is required prior to volunteering. If your role involves working directly with children, your background check must be completed at least 7 days before your volunteer date and cleared before you begin.
Youth volunteering
For youth ages 12–17:
Youth volunteers may participate only with an adult chaperone present for the full duration of the volunteer activity. Unaccompanied youth volunteers are not permitted.
